Most tutoring starts with a worksheet. We start by finding out why your child is stuck, because the presenting problem is rarely the real one. A Year 11 struggling with algebra is usually struggling with negative numbers. A Year 6 stuck on ratio is usually stuck on division.

Questions parents ask
Will my child always have the same tutor?
Yes. Continuity is most of the value in one to one work, because the tutor's knowledge of what your child has already got wrong is what makes the next session efficient. If a change is ever needed we will tell you why rather than quietly reassigning.
Are sessions online or in person?
Online, which is why we can work with families across the UK and internationally rather than only within driving distance of West Yorkshire. It also means no travel time eating into a school night, which matters more than most parents expect.
Can two children share a session?
Yes, and for some students it works better than one to one. Having a peer in the room lowers the stakes on asking a question. We wrote about the evidence in why a shared session sometimes beats a 1:1.
What do I actually get told between sessions?
Written updates covering what has improved, what has not, and what the next few sessions will target. Not "they are doing well", which is pleasant and useless. If something is not working we say so and change it, including moving your child to a different tutor if that is the honest answer.
