How lessons run
The first session is about getting to know your child. Where they are academically, and also how they learn best, what motivates them and where their confidence sits.
Tasleem then builds a plan around what she finds. That can mean breaking a skill into smaller steps, allowing extra processing time, using your child's interests to keep them engaged, or slowing the pace.
After every session you get an update on what was covered, how your child responded and what the focus is next time.
She shares strategies you can use at home, so the progress carries on between lessons.

Yes. Tasleem is a qualified SENCO and Specialist Teacher with two degrees and two postgraduate qualifications, and has over 25 years of experience teaching children and young people with special educational needs.
Which special educational needs do you support?
Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma and other social, emotional and mental health needs, speech, language and communication needs, non-verbal learners, medical needs and English as an additional language. Tasleem also teaches children with gaps in learning or low confidence.
What ages do you teach?
Tasleem has taught children and young people aged 3 to 19, from Early Years to Post-16.
Can you work from my child's EHCP?
Bring your child's EHCP or school support plan to the free consultation. Tasleem will go through it with you and build the lesson plan around it.
