About Tasleem

Tasleem has spent over 25 years working as a teacher and educator, supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 across mainstream and specialist education. She believes every learner deserves to feel understood, valued and included, and that belief runs through every session she teaches.

Her career spans Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Post-16 settings, including mainstream classrooms, resource provisions, specialist settings and independent specialist schools. That range gives her a clear, practical understanding of how differently children learn and what kind of support actually makes a difference.

As a qualified teacher, SENCO and Specialist Teacher, she has worked closely with learners who have SEND, EAL, autism, ADHD, SEMH, trauma, anxiety, medical needs and other complex educational needs. She also supports children with gaps in learning, low confidence or barriers to engagement, and those who simply need more stretch than school can give them.

Her background as a Holistic Practitioner shapes her approach too. She sees learning as more than academic achievement and builds personalised experiences around each child, developing confidence, independence, resilience and a genuine enjoyment of learning along the way.

Beyond the classroom

Tasleem works closely with families as well as learners, with the aim of creating progress that lasts well beyond the session itself. For many parents, the change they notice first isn't on a report card. It's a child who feels capable again.

What to expect

All sessions are one-to-one, delivered online or face to face. The first session is about getting to know your child properly: not just where they are academically, but how they learn best, what motivates them and where their confidence currently sits.

Tasleem then builds a plan around what she finds. That might mean breaking a skill down into smaller steps, allowing extra processing time, drawing on a child's interests to keep them engaged, or simply slowing the pace so a struggling learner can catch up without feeling rushed. No two plans look the same, because no two learners are the same.

After each session, parents get a clear and honest update covering what was covered, how their child responded, and what the focus will be next time.

What changes for families

  • Children build confidence and a genuine enjoyment of learning, not just exam-ready knowledge.
  • Support is shaped around the real need, whether that's SEND, EAL, low confidence or a child who needs more challenge.
  • Personalised teaching closes gaps in learning without making a child feel singled out or left behind.
  • Progress carries over into independence and resilience at home, not just inside the session.
