Marking a whole year group's GCSE maths mock

A qualified UK teacher marks each script by hand, against the exam board's mark scheme or the one you send us. Before marking starts, every marker is standardised to that mark scheme. On a GCSE maths paper many of the marks are for working, so the person marking needs to read the working.

Prices per paper
These are the base rates for a 1.5 hour paper at SATs level with standard 12 to 14 day turnaround. The more papers you send, the lower the rate.
Add £0.50 a paper for 11+, £0.75 for GCSE and £2.00 for A-Level. A 1 hour paper is £0.75 less and a 2 hour paper is £1.00 more. Each band of papers is charged at its own rate. For example, 120 GCSE maths papers of 1.5 hours cost £1,279.50: the first 99 at £10.75 and the next 21 at £10.25.

What is the minimum order for school pricing?
30 papers. For fewer, get in touch and we will quote directly. Parents with one paper should use Mark a Mock instead.
How long does marking take?
Standard turnaround is 12 to 14 days. 7 to 11 days adds £1.00 a paper (minimum £50) and 5 to 6 days adds £2.50 a paper (minimum £100).
Can we try one paper first?
Yes. You can send a single paper at a discounted rate of £25 to see the marking quality before a larger order.
Do you provide question level analysis?
Yes, as an add-on. It costs £1.00 a paper for 30 to 99 papers, falling to £0.60 a paper for 600 or more, and comes as a per-question breakdown across every script, ready for your data system.

No. Every script is marked by hand by a qualified UK teacher, standardised to the mark scheme first. Method, accuracy, follow-through and special case marks are applied exactly as the mark scheme sets out.
Can you mark a mock our department wrote?
Yes. Send the paper and your mark scheme together and we mark to your scheme, with the same question level analysis as a board paper.
Do you need pupils' names?
No. Label the scripts with candidate numbers. The spreadsheet and reports use the same numbers, so you can match them to your own records.
