About this lesson
By the end of this lesson your child can read and write any number to 100, in digits or in words, split it into tens and ones, count on in ones and tens, and say straight away which of two numbers is bigger. Place value to 100 is the foundation every later topic sits on, and a child who guesses at it here keeps guessing at 1,000 and beyond.

- Tens and ones, partitioning a number and saying what each digit is worth
- One more, one less, ten more and ten less, and watching which digit changes
- Comparing and ordering numbers to 100 with the correct symbol
