Online Tutoring Packages for Homeschool Families
Homeschooling gives your child something most schools can't: the freedom to learn at their own pace. But keeping up with Maths, English and Science across the whole curriculum, making sure nothing falls through the gaps, and preparing properly for exams, that's a lot to carry on your own.
That's where we come in.
SHLC works with homeschool families across the UK and internationally, providing structured weekly tuition from qualified teachers alongside the resources and exam practice your child needs to progress confidently. Trusted by 120+ families since 2020.
What's Included in Every Package
Every homeschool package includes weekly one-to-one sessions with a qualified teacher, subject-specific resources to support learning between sessions, and a termly progress report so you always know where your child stands. Core and Full packages also include a marked mock exam each term with a dedicated review lesson to go through it together.
All sessions are 45 minutes, delivered online, and run across a 12 week term.

Subjects We Cover
These packages are available for Maths, English and Science. Just let us know which subject or subjects you need when you get in touch and we'll sort the rest. Whether your child is working through the curriculum at their own pace, preparing for GCSEs or sitting 11+ or SATs, we have the right tutor for them.
Who Teaches Your Child
Every session is delivered by a qualified UK teacher. Our tutors hold QTS and have real classroom and tutoring experience. We match your child to the right tutor based on their subject, level and learning style. You can read more about our team on our tutor profiles page.
What Our Students Achieve
The average school expectation for a GCSE student is one grade improvement per academic year. Our students regularly exceed that. We have consistently seen students make two to three grade jumps in a single term across Maths, English and Science, with some achieving that in as little as three months.
For homeschool families, the Full Programme is the closest thing to having a school timetable built around your child. Students who complete all three sessions a week, keep up with the homework between sessions and revise consistently outside of lessons can expect to cover roughly a year's worth of school progress in a single term. That is what three focused sessions a week with a qualified teacher, backed by resources and a marked mock, can deliver when a student commits to it.
Our 11+ students have secured scholarships at some of the UK's most competitive grammar and independent schools including Bradford Grammar, Merchant Taylors', The Latymer School and Queen Elizabeth's School Barnet. Students who have come to us early and worked through the full programme have reached GCSE level by Year 6 and gone on to complete their GCSEs in Year 9 or Year 10, achieving Grade 9s ahead of their peers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I choose more than one subject? Yes. These packages are available for Maths, English and Science, and each package is priced per subject. If your child needs support in more than one, just tell us which subjects when you get in touch and we'll set everything up.
What level do you teach? We teach from primary level through to GCSE, covering KS2, KS3 and GCSE Maths, English and Science. If your child is preparing for 11+ or SATs we can support that too.
Do you follow a specific curriculum? We work around your child's current level and your goals as a family. For exam-focused students we follow the relevant specification. For families taking a broader approach, we assess where your child is and build from there.
What happens in the mock review lesson on Core and Full? Once the marked mock comes back, we set aside a full session to go through it with your child. We look at where marks were dropped, why it happened and what to focus on before the next paper. It makes the mock far more useful than just knowing the score.
How do I know my child is making progress? You receive a termly progress report covering what has been covered, how your child is performing and what the focus will be next term. You can also contact your child's tutor directly at any time.
Can we start mid-term? Yes. We can start at any point in the year. Terms start when you want giving you the flexibility needed for homeschooling.
Do you work with homeschool families outside the UK? Yes. We work with families internationally, including those following UK curricula abroad, IGCSE students and British expat families. All sessions are online.
