Two very different jobs show up from Leeds, and they need different teaching.
The first is entrance exam preparation, almost always for independent schools. The Grammar School at Leeds is the main target and, despite the name, it is independent and sets its own assessment. Families also apply out to Bradford Grammar and to Heckmondwike Grammar, which is the nearest selective state grammar and reachable from south and west Leeds.
The second job is GCSE Maths, and in Leeds that is mostly grade 4 to 6 and grade 6 to 9 work. Two different problems again. A child stuck at 4 usually has holes in number and algebra that never got filled. A child stuck at 6 usually understands the topics and loses marks on method, working and the long multi step questions at the back of the paper.

Schools around Leeds
The Grammar School at Leeds sets its own entrance assessment. Preparation aimed at it needs to match that paper rather than a generic 11+ workbook.
Bradford Grammar and Heckmondwike Grammar both take Leeds applicants each year and both set their own papers. Preparing for two schools at once is common and mostly efficient, because the underlying skills overlap even where the formats do not.

How the online sessions run

Is there a state grammar school in Leeds?
No. The Grammar School at Leeds is independent despite the name. The nearest selective state grammar is Heckmondwike Grammar in Kirklees, which does take Leeds applicants.
My child is sitting at grade 5 and wants a 7. Is that realistic?
It has been done in three months before now. Whether it is realistic for your child depends on whether the gap is knowledge or exam technique, which is the first thing a consultation establishes.
