    Worked Example

    Draw a pie chart for 12, 8, 6 and 4 votes. What angle is each slice?

    1. Add the groups:12 + 8 + 6 + 4 = 30 votes altogether
    2. A full circle is 360°, so one vote is worth 360 ÷ 30 = 12°
    3. Multiply each group:12×12 = 144°, 8×12 = 96°, 6×12 = 72°, 4×12 = 48°
    4. Check:144 + 96 + 72 + 48 = 360°

    Answer: 144°, 96°, 72° and 48°
