Short answer: for a child doing 11+ maths at home, choose the SHLC 80-lesson online 11+ maths course for £200 if you want every maths topic taught in order for one payment, or Atom Learning (Exam prep, £59.99 a month) if you want adaptive practice across English, maths and reasoning.

SHLC offers one to one maths tuition, a self-paced maths course and free maths resources. Atom and Bond Online are online practice options. I am Aadam Mulla and I run SHLC, so I have set out where each option may suit a family. The prices and provider details below were checked on each provider's own website on 5 October 2026.
The short answer
Start with the type of help your child needs. Choose SHLC if you want one to one 11+ maths lessons with me, or a structured maths course to use at home. Choose Atom Learning if you want practice across all 11+ subjects, including verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Choose Explore Learning if you want weekly lessons across 11+ subjects. Choose Bond Online if you want lower-cost online practice for a child aged 9 to 11.

SHLC, one to one maths tuition, a course and free resources
SHLC is my business. I am an experienced maths teacher and former Edexcel examiner, with a Master's in Education, five years teaching in UK secondary schools and more than 3,000 hours of one to one teaching since 2020.
One to one online 11+ maths lessons with me are available every week. A 60-minute lesson is £270 a month and a 45-minute lesson is £220 a month. Maths and English lessons are £480 a month. Non-verbal reasoning can be added to maths for an additional £60 a month. I send parents a written note after every lesson and mark practice papers by hand.
Since 2021, my students have received 25+ grammar and independent school offers across 12 schools. These include Queen Elizabeth's School Barnet, The Latymer School, Merchant Taylors', St Albans School and Bradford Grammar.
The Complete 11+ Maths Course is a separate option for parents using a laptop or computer at home. It has 80 interactive lessons, 463 units and 6,773 questions for a £200 one-off payment. Each lesson starts with a worked example. Your child then completes questions on paper and checks them with a click.
There are also free resources. Start with the complete free Reverse Fractions lesson, which has five units and needs no sign up. You can use the free Maths Level Finder and book a free consultation. The paper library has 1,089 past and sample papers from 142 schools, boards and consortia. The free maths practice has 576 questions across 16 topics, with three levels for each topic.
SHLC does not run a daily practice platform for English or verbal reasoning. I do teach 11+ English one to one. If your priority is one online practice subscription for English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning, Atom Learning may be the more suitable option.
Atom Learning, online practice across 11+ subjects
Atom Learning describes its practice as personalised to exactly where your child is today. Its English, Maths, Science plan is £39.99 a month, or £31.99 a month when billed yearly, for a stated annual price of £383.90. This plan does not include mock tests.
For all 11+ subjects, including verbal and non-verbal reasoning, Atom lists its Exam Prep plan at £59.99 a month, or £47.99 a month billed yearly, for a stated annual price of £575.90. It does not include mock tests. Exam Prep Plus is £69.99 a month, or £55.99 a month billed yearly, for a stated annual price of £671.90. It adds unlimited mock tests with instant marking and feedback.
Atom may suit a parent who wants practice for several 11+ subjects in one plan. The pricing page offers a free trial, with no length stated.
Explore Learning, weekly lessons and practice resources
Explore Learning offers weekly 60-minute lessons online or in-centre. Parents can choose one to one or small-group lessons. Its 11+ resources include more than 24,000 practice questions across 126 topics in non-verbal reasoning, verbal reasoning, maths and English, plus three full-length mock exams. It covers GL Assessment, CSSE and other formats.
For online one to one lessons, Explore Learning lists one weekly session from £42 a session (from £180 a month) and two weekly sessions from £32 a session (from £280 a month), with no joining fee. In-centre group lessons are listed from £22 a session (from £190 a month) for two a week. A free trial is offered.
Explore Learning may suit a family looking for lessons and practice across the four 11+ subject areas. Before enrolling, check whether you are choosing one to one or a small group, and whether online or in-centre provision is the right arrangement for your family.
Bond Online, online practice for ages 9 to 11
Bond Online offers interactive 11+ practice questions for children aged 9 to 11, in Years 5 to 6. Its questions use GL and CEM styles.
The Bond Online plan is £7.50 a month. Premium starts at £20.66 a month billed yearly, with a stated annual price of £247.92. Premium Plus starts at £28.99 a month billed yearly, with a stated annual price of £347.92. Premium and Premium Plus include a seven-day free trial.
Bond Online may suit a parent seeking interactive 11+ practice for a child in Years 5 to 6, especially where the lower monthly Bond Online plan is the starting point.
How I would narrow the choice
- Decide whether you want tuition, a course, practice resources, or a combination. SHLC offers one to one maths lessons and a maths course. Atom and Bond Online offer online practice. Explore Learning offers lessons and practice resources.
- Check the subjects you need. SHLC's course and free resources are for 11+ maths. Atom's Exam Prep plan includes all 11+ subjects, including verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Explore Learning lists non-verbal reasoning, verbal reasoning, maths and English. Bond Online uses GL and CEM styles.
- Compare the access and price structure. Atom has monthly and yearly-billed plans. Bond has a monthly plan and yearly-billed Premium plans. SHLC's course is a one-off payment, while one to one lessons are monthly. Explore Learning lists online and in-centre arrangements.
