    1. The bottoms differ, so find the lowest common denominator of 3 and 6: it is 6
    2. Rewrite the first fraction over 6:13 = 26, and 16 already fits
    3. Add the tops, keep the bottom:2 + 1 = 3, giving 36
    4. Simplify by dividing top and bottom by 3:12

    Answer: 12
