Why these topics? Algebraic fractions and probability with algebra are two of the topics students most often leave blank on Higher papers. Neither came up on Paper 1. Both require the same underlying skills but in different contexts, and this session teaches both properly so your child isn't guessing the method under pressure.

These are the topics that separate Grade 7 from Grade 8 and 9. Algebraic fractions require solid factorisation skills applied in a new context. Algebraic probability means setting up equations from probability language. Most students have never been taught either topic beyond the basics. This session changes that.

Setting up and solving from probability contexts. Tree diagrams with expressions covered.

Is the session live?
Yes. All sessions are taught live by Aadam. Your child can ask questions throughout.
What does my child need?
A device with a microphone, stable internet, pen, paper and a scientific calculator.
My child finds algebra difficult. Will they manage this session?
The session works best for students who are reasonably confident with basic algebra and factorisation. If algebra in general is a significant gap, a one-to-one session before the exam would give better results.
Is this the last session of the week?
Yes. Day 5 closes the May Half Term series. You can also book the full week bundle to cover all five sessions.
