Why these topics? Ratio problems and compound interest both appeared minimally on Paper 1. Higher papers almost always feature a multi-step ratio question and a percentage change or growth question. Students who know the method score these quickly. Students who don't lose straightforward marks.

Ratio catches students out because the worded problems look different each time. Compound interest trips them up because they use simple interest method by mistake. This session fixes both, working through the full range of question types that come up on Higher papers.
